London: Bickers and Son, 1889. Later Printing, 1889. Hardcover in green morrocco, with blind-tooling and gilt-stamped title on spine. This copy was given to Edgar Hermann Joseph Schuster as a prize for mathematics at Stoke House in April of 1892, according to the hand-written inscription. The book also contains the bookplate of Schuster on the front pastedown.

A very good copy with some light foxing and sun faded to brown on spine and portions of the covers. Tightly bound with rubbing and bumping to edges and corners. Gilded edges and turn-ins.

An interesting book with interesting provenance. Very Good. Item #1242
